​2025 is our 10th year removing barriers that prevent our neighbors, friends and family members from getting proper screenings each year. That's why we're hosting a Pink Weekend – to thank everyone who has leaned in AND "fun-raise" so that more women (& men) stay ahead of cancer.

ALX Community is a collection of dog-friendly spaces for Working, Learning, Meeting, Giving Back and Celebrating.
As part of our Give Back pillar, we create opportunities for our members and the greater community to help those around us in need. This includes supporting our member, the National Breast Center Foundation, support the women (& men) in our region stay on top of breast cancer screenings and treatments - regardless of income or insurance status.

Two Fast Facts
1. The Greater D.C. region has some of the highest rates of late-stage breast cancer and mortality in the nation, with Black women facing the greatest burden.
​
2. It’s proven: early detection saves lives - and a simple mammogram can make all the difference.
But with so many in our community recently unemployed, uninsured, or simply afraid, we know the risk is rising. Without action, our region’s already high rates could get even worse.

That’s why we’re stepping up - to make life-saving breast cancer screenings and diagnostic tests completely free for those who need it most.

No one should miss a mammogram because of fear or finances.
No missed mammograms. That’s our goal.​
